FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
