Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.

This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
