The rising star maintains substantial online audience
The young golfer will have multiple well-known cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns numerous international courses and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to go out there and relax," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments this year and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
But she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He represents the top athlete in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's a superior human being. He told me to play, have fun, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in the sport at the competition, including world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that her participation exposes golf to new audiences, particularly with youth audiences.
The young star maintains a massive following and just introduced her own apparel and wellness company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
